Herne Bay LG/SC Open 2013 This is a Level 3 gala and is to be held on 6th July 2013 at Kingsmead Leisure Centre, Canterbury Cost £4.50 per event; age at 6th July. Age Groups 9/10 years - swim 50m events; 11/12, 13/14, 15&O swim 100m in each of the four strokes. Finals in each of age groups for top six swimmers. Upper Qualifying Times apply and therefore swimmers are not able to compete if their pb is above the published time in each of the events. There are no lower qualifying times but should the gala be oversubscribed the slower swimmers of each age group will unfortunately be rejected. We understand it will be held at Folkestone Sports Centre but this will be confirmed along with times shortly (evening gala). Medway Championships We have pleasure in attaching the Medway Championships programme for 2013. The dates are 30th March 2013 27th April 2013 Entries are now closed for the first event of this series. However, if you missed the closing date and wish to participate in the events in March or April please send an entry form to Jenny/Ingrid and they will be happy to submit them to the Medway ASA. This series are encourage to all of our swimmers and are held at Medway Park. No qualifying times are required to enter the age group events - so ideal for everyone including those with little/no gala experience. They also includes various Open Events (although these events are accompanied by guideline qualifying times). Team selection. Team list will be published nearer the time. Crawley Spring L/C Open Meet 2013 13th/14th April 2013. This will be held at K2 50m pool at Crawley. Licensed Level 1 - Qualification times apply (please see attachment), primarily aimed at the Elite & Performance squads. Prices vary depending on length of race, £5 (50m); £6 (100/200m); £8 (800m/1500m) events. Long distance events will have a limited no. of heats. Age as at 14th April. Lutons' closing date is 1st April for direct entries however IT IS A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED EVENT IF OVERSUBSCRIBED so please enter quickly to avoid disappointment. 100m/200m races in all events plus a 50m and 400m freestyle event. Each event costs £6. Entry Pack Beckenham International Open Meet 2013 11th/12th May 2013. To be held at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre. Licensed Level 1; 50m 8 lane pool. LONG COURSE. Qualification Times will be required. Aimed at Elite & Performance squads Cost: £6 per event. Age as at 12th May. Times submitted for entries must be from ASA licensed meets only. Warning - spectator fees are normally quite high at this event, £5 per session/£8 per day plus £5 programme charge! Only children under 10 permitted free entry. Daily/weekend packages available. Age groups: 11/U, 12/13, 14/15, 16/0vers. Entries to Jenny/Ingrid by 4th March 2013 please. Qualifying Times South East Regional ASA Age Group Championships 25th & 26th May 2013 More details to follow Margate swimming Club Open 2013 To be held on the 2nd June 2013 at Hartsdown Leisure Centre, Margate, CT9 5QX. Age as at 2nd June 2013 at a cost of £4.50 per event. Events: 50m races in each stroke plus a 100m I.M. This gala is NOT directed towards our Elite Squad swimmers as it is an unlicensed meet directed towards swimmers with less gala experience. No entry times are required so making it ideal for new swimmers or those seeking some more gala experience. This gala is normally oversubscribed and as such we intend it to be closed on 4th March in order for our swimmers to stand a good chance of acceptance. No late entries will be accepted although it can be entered directly with Margate should anyone miss our closing date. To be held at White Oak Leisure Centre, Swanley, Kent - just off A20, M25,M20. Comprises of: 400m Pool Swim; 27km Cycle; 8km run. Romford Town Swimming Club L3 Open This new event is called Romford's 1st Non National Qualifier and will be held on 20th July 2013 at The Southbury Leisure Centre, Enfield. This event offers all swimmers the chance of 200s, 100s and 50s in all strokes plus the 100 and 200 IMs (age allowing). ASA Licensed Level 3. Age groups include an Open. Upper and Lower qualifying times apply - please see attachment. Entries are on a "first come first served basis". Therefore the BLSC Closing date will be the 6th May (immediately after the BLSC open). Hopefully this will allow sufficient time before their closing date to ensure our swimmers are accepted. Cost per event £4.50 and Age as at 20th July 2013. Families with multiple children will be allowed to send one cheque per Gala (and so incur only one fee), but must ensure that all concerned Squad Coaches are aware of this.
